M.A. in Teaching - Mathematics (5-9 or 9-12)

Students in the Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics degree program from Western Governors University earn both their masters degree and specialization certificate.  The teaching mathematics program consists of two specialization areas, which are grades five through twelve and grades five through nine.  It is the ideal program for students who want to earn their master's degree, become a licensed and certified high school or middle school math teacher and for students that already have a bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or math.  

This program provides students with the academic knowledge and skills to become highly qualified, trained teachers using hands-on, supervised teaching in classroom settings.  Graduates with an MA in teaching mathematics degree have the education necessary to begin their teaching careers.
