As data and technology collection increases, database management is more vital for many international, national, and local organizations and businesses.  Students in the Bachelor of Science in Information Technology degree program with a specialization in Databases, acquire the academic knowledge and skills required to analyze, troubleshoot, evaluate, design, and develop new and existing databases.  Classes in this information technology-databases program include programming, e-commerce, studies and information on database evaluation/security issues, databases, and operating systems.  MySQL Core, IC3 and Pro are three of the nine specialized programs available for certification.  Students acquire a strong foundation in data handling, data storage, computer knowledge, security, management and data retrieval.
