Master of Science (M.S.) in Education - General

The Master of Science in Education degree program from Walden University online equips students with the academic knowledge for a career in administration and teaching positions.  Students acquire the academic skills and knowledge necessary to develop and organize grades K - 12 curriculums, teach various subjects including grammar, reading, mathematics and science, and evaluate existing curriculum benefits by the way students in the class learn the presented materials.  These scholar-practitioners have the specialized skills required to provide testing, educating and advanced training in actual classroom settings.

Some of the areas of specialization in the MS in education program include literacy, elementary reading, and incorporating technology in classrooms, mathematics, science, and educational leadership.  There are additional classes offered in educational and school leadership; working with special needs, talented or gifted students; research; and methodology.
