Doctor of Health Administration

The Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) program is designed to prepare leaders to respond effectively and efficiently to the dynamic and constantly changing health care industry. Graduates will have the capacity to critically examine and evaluate issues and trends while feeling empowered to influence the direction of the health care system. Graduates of this program will have successfully enhanced their administrative and leadership skills via the completion of a curriculum that gives students the most recent and cutting-edge theories and contemporary practice applications. Graduates are not only able to define their role within the health care system, but also understand exactly how to make changes in order to create a work environment that is both team-oriented and motivating to others. Graduates can analyze the influence of both external and internal environments to alignments in their organizations in order to respond to the constantly changing demands of the health care market place. Sensitivity to persons and groups and the presence of multicultural diversity are seen as essential components to effective leadership.
