Master's of Science in Accounting: Public Accounting

The master’s of science degree in Accounting (MSAC) with a concentration in Public Accounting from Strayer’s University hopes to prepare its students to obtain a high-level position in a public, government, or not-for-profit organization. Some of the main areas of focus within the degree program include auditing, regulation, and financial reporting. Careers that a master’s in Public Accounting may prepare graduates for include treasurers, financial managers, comptrollers, auditors, and financial analysts. Although the degree gives its students the tools they will need to study for their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam, it does not qualify students for licensure.  The degree is available completely online, making it ideal for persons with non-traditional schedules, or who work part-time. Most of the enrolled students take classes with Strayer part-time.
