Associate in Arts in Information Systems

Strayer Universities Associate's of Arts in Computer Information Systems degree program provides students with the knowledge and information to work in the computer information systems field as analysts or computer programmers. Students acquire theoretical and practical experiences and training, which lets them learn and explore assorted computer information systems and programming languages. The course of study also covers computer programming, information systems, information retrieval systems, information security, databases, information systems management and programming languages.

Understanding and developing computer information systems prepares students for placements with an IT division including engineer, IT technician or project management.  Students with an Associate's in Arts in computer information systems degree find work in a variety of positions including security, internetworking, networking, web development, database management and analyst/programmers. Some graduates choose to continue their education and apply their earned credits toward a BS in Information Systems.
