Master of Accountancy

Stetson University’s master’s of science degree in Accounting, or Master of Accountancy, wishes to prepare its students to become professionals in high-level business positions. Courses a student is likely to take for the degree include advanced accounting, auditing, corporate tax, and accounting information systems, among others. Earning the online degree from Stetson can take as little time as one year, with a 30-credit accelerated curriculum. All of the program’s faculty have experience in the field; most are Certified Public Accountants (CPAs), many have Ph.D’s, and even Juris Doctors (JDs). At Stetson University, you have the option to study online or on-campus in Deland, Florida. The option of attending courses and studying 100 percent online is often good for non-traditional students. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, and have taken basic courses in things like economics, statistics, principles of marketing, and financial accounting.
