Accounting Associates - Banking

With a huge international increase in the amount of banking and financial transactions completed per day over the Internet, the demand for professionals with specific skills to investigate security and theft issues continues to increase. An AAS in Accounting with an emphasis on Financial Investigation provides students with these skills. The program combines a through understanding of basic accounting practices with an in-depth understanding of tracing and monitoring financial irregularities, thefts, or fraud.

Students in the program will complete courses on accounting, auditing, reporting, taxation as well as specialized courses on financial investigation, security, and monitoring online transactions and access. Students will begin working through investigative techniques as well as reporting out the information they have found and developing the skills needed to be problem solvers and effective fact finders.
