Certificate in Forensic Accounting

Post University’s certificate in Forensic Accounting was developed for persons who wish to pursue a career in financial services with a specialty in fraud detection, analysis, and prevention. A forensic accountant gathers evidence about fraudulent finances, analyzes this evidence, and often presents it in a court of law. Post University’s program consists of six eight-week learning modules, which are all available online. These modules are on topics like fraud prevention, computer forensics, electronic investigations, accounting information systems, and criminal law, among others. Careers that this diploma program may prepare graduates for include budget analyst, financial examiner, and tax examiner, among others. Students may choose to enroll part-time (often ideal for those who work full-time or have family obligations) or full-time. Some who earn their diploma go on to complete four-year undergraduate degrees in accounting, business, or finance. Students who apply to Post University may qualify for federal financial aid.
