Liberty University's Master of Science in nursing degree program equips students with the academic knowledge needed to provide expert programs, health care services and clinical care to groups of people, families, and individuals in various community and acute care settings.  Students in the MS in nursing program acquire a solid knowledge of spiritual, social, and ethical issues relevant to nursing and health care.  Incorporated throughout the curriculum is the clinical nurse specialist's role and advanced nursing practices.

Master of Science in nursing graduates practice as clinical nurse specialists with the knowledge and critical thinking skills required to promote the nursing profession through scholarships, program implementation and development, clinical practice, and teaching.  Students have the opportunity to select either the community or acute care health track and have the adaptability of a modified master's thesis.
