The BS in Elementary Education with a specialization in Math program is designed to give future educators the knowledge and skills needed to be effective teachers of young children. This program is centered on elementary education topics, as well as techniques for teaching students who have short attention spans. Additionally persons in this program are taught how to utilize fun activities and games in the classroom to make a more stimulating learning environment. Persons in this specialization are prepared to teach students in kindergarten through sixth grade the basics of numbers and interactions, including foundational arithmetic and monetary proportions.
