B.S. in Elementary Education: Science (With IR and Cert.)

The BS in Elementary Education with a specialization in Science program is designed to give future educators the knowledge and skills needed to be effective teachers of young children. This program is centered on elementary education topics, as well as techniques for teaching students who have short attention spans. Additionally persons in this program are taught how to utilize fun activities and games in the classroom to make a more stimulating learning environment. Persons in this specialization are prepared to teach students in kindergarten through sixth grade the basics of sociology, chemistry, biology, and earth sciences. Additionally, future educators learn how to incorporate projects and experiments for more effective instruction.
