The Bachelor of Science Legal Assistant/Paralegal degree program is geared towards helping students acquire quintessential knowledge of the legal profession. Students are familiarized with the policies and protocol relating to estate planning, wills, and trusts. Also, students are taught how to organize notebooks, prepare and interpret legal documents, and interview and analyze factual situations. Instruction in the research of legal issues is also considered paramount in this program. Graduates can expect to find employment in a number of areas such as insurance companies, corporate legal departments, and governmental agencies. Students take a variety of courses including Contract Law and Civil Procedure.
