The Chicago School of Professional Psychology specializes in only one area: the field of advanced psychology. The Chicago School, as it is more simply called, is fully accredited through the North Central Association and the National Council on Higher Learning. The school is also a member of the National Council of Schools and Programs of Professional Psychology and is recognized for its contribution to ongoing professional development for practicing professionals in the field of psychology. The Chicago School of Professional Psychology offers a unique approach to online education in that courses are held through distance learning online format but also include weekend meetings, field-work and team projects. The online courses provide regular, structured interaction with other students and faculty through teleconferences, direct in-person calls between instructors and students as well as real time chats that encourage discussion within the group.
There are different levels of programs offered in the online and blended format including the Master of Arts degree in Industrial Psychology, Psychology and Forensic Psychology. Certificates, which are concentrated courses of study in specific areas, are offered on topics such as behavior analysis, organizational effectiveness, consumer psychology and workplace diversity. Many of the certificate courses can be applied towards masters degree full programs.
