The Doctor of Philosophy in Human Services with a specialization in General Human Services program is designed specifically for professionals who are in a wide variety of human services and health care leadership positions. Students are exposed to the most important aspects of the human service industry including adult development, ethics, diversity, and strategic planning. Graduates will have the skills and knowledge needed to both lead and manage human services function in a variety of organizations. Graduates may find success in social service, education, government, law enforcement, health care, and military organizations. The general specialization allows for a focus on a wider variety of human service areas, including counseling, family therapy, criminal justice, or social services.
