The Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy program is designed to help educators advance their careers while focusing on literacy. Students in this program will learn how to assess literacy and create, apply, and modify reading curriculums to meet the diverse needs of students. This specific program is completed in conjunction with the University of California, Irvine Extension. Graduates will receive both a Master of Science from Capella University, and a reading certificate from UC-Irvine Extension. This certificate has been approved by the state of California and meets the nationally recognized teaching standards outlines by the International Reading Association.
