Ashford University’s bachelor’s degree in Health Care Studies with a concentration in Health Care Administration is designed for persons who wish to learn more about the ins and outs of the U.S. healthcare system, as well as its ethical and legal ramifications. The program ideally prepares its students for administration positions in the medical field. Enrolled students can expect to take courses like adult development, the U.S. health care system, special populations, introduction to long term care, managing human services, community health, and social implications of medical issues, among others. Careers that a bachelor’s degree in Health Care Studies may prepare graduates for include financing clerk, coding manger, and health care customer service representative. Ashford University’s program is available to its students through an online portal system, meaning students can take courses, complete homework, and communicate with instructors and/or peers any time, any day. Some students may qualify for financial aid from the federal government.
