Ashford University’s bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration is designed for persons who wish to launch a career in the medical field and want to be prepared with a solid foundation in healthcare organizations, procedures, and policy. To better cultivate a well-rounded approach, Ashford tries to focus its offerings on the social, ethical, political, economic, and legal ramifications of a position in health care. Courses that students enrolled in the bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration can expect to take include finance, human resources management, public administration, the U.S. health care system, public health, special populations, and entrepreneurship, among others. Requirements for application include the possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalency, an age of at least 22, and proven fluency in English. Ashford University offers the program completely through an online portal system, making courses, coursework and even sometimes instructors available to students 24/7. The online program often works well for non-traditional students who can only enroll part-time, or can only take classes at odd hours of the day due to other commitments. 

Ashford University does not currently accept student in Arkansas, Kentucky, or Minnesota.
