The Master of Education with a specialization in Curriculum and Instruction degree program is designed to help further the careers of educators through solid instruction in educational practices. Students are given a solid foundation in instructional theory, curriculum design and applying educational research techniques. Students in this specialization will be taught to both design and put assessments into place concerning student performance, as well as provide feedback to students in order to enhance the learning process. Additionally, students in this program are taught how to motivate their students to becoming more engaged in the learning process. Graduates will have all of the knowledge needed to design a curriculum that is effective and relevant to the area that they are teaching. Graduates can successfully meet the organizational, federal, state, or other objectives and standards through curriculum planning.
