Sociology is the study of human interactions with each other, and as a group. It examines how people change and adapt their actions depending on the social situations they are in, and why we do things like this. It also takes a look at organizations, and how people become social creatures as they develop. An examination of social patterns and the use of mathematics within those patterns are studied, as well as the study of varying social problems such as crime and homelessness. Since the world population seems to be ever increasing, it's even more important than ever that we take a look at why people behave the way they do, and how we as human beings treat each other. Everything from criminal acts to body language, childhood behavior to racism, are all examples of social behaviors. By better understanding the background as to why people act this way, we can discover better ways to communicate to everyone as a whole and make the world a better place.
