Minority College Grant

There are numerous college grants available so everyone - regardless of class, gender, or ethnicity - has an opportunity to attend college. The Center for Education Statistics cites that the number of minority college students has increased over the years. One major predictor of this growth is the opportunity for minority students to obtain financial aid. 

The US federal government and multiple private organizations offer grants to prospective students with financial hardships and need financial assistance. While minority college grants often go to students with the greatest financial need, students that distinguish themselves through their academic achievement often qualify for grants as well. The Federal Pell Grant Program offers grants to for financially in-need students, which minority students can qualify to receive up to $5,500 per year, which does not have to be paid back.
